You know how it is when you can't remember why a person seems so familiar? Or when you think a person looks like someone else you know, whose name just escapes you?

I felt that way about Nagasawa Masami in the first few minutes of Proposal Daisakusen Special. I had put this on my to-watch short list because Ate Yam wrote this line on her blog entry about the special sequel to the Japanese drama:

The special is a standalone itself, one need not have agonised through the 11 episodes of the series.

Thanks for the warning, Ate. Although I enjoyed the special, I don't think I could bear watching all 11 episodes. In any case, I had to go to take a nap after the first 15 minutes. And I fell asleep trying so hard to remember whom Rie looked like.

I woke up with a name: Gong Hyun Joo, the other half of Ate Raissa and my favorite OTP (from the Korean drama Wedding). I think they have the same smiles.

ooohhh i can see the resemblance. i really like Masami! but i haven't heard much about the Korean actress except nga OTP niyo ni Raissa! ^_^

yeah, masami is really likeable. i like her too.

Gong Hyun Joo has appeared in the dramas Golden Bride, I Came in Search of Flowers, and in the upcoming You Are My Destiny. Of course, I've seen none of these. Pang OTP lang talaga. LOL.

buti na lang you liked ProDai even if you had to sleep after the first 15 mins. kaloka ka! watching the 11 eps is like going through a groundhog day I swear kaya buti you spared yourself.

I have only seen her in Wedding and the episodes in Golden Bride when she was there. When she left di na ako nanood. Grabe na talaga ang pagka OTP ko sa kanila kasi nalungkot ba naman ako when SCU said na he just met someone and hes going out with her pero natuwa naman ako when he added na it doesnt seem to be going anywhere. Dapat si Gong Hyun Jo na lang.

I know little about her too. ni wala nga siyang thread sa Soompi =(

yeah, wala nga siyang thread sa soompi. maganda daw ung dramang "I Came In Search For Flowers" (aka "Flowers for my Life") Javabeans (dramabeans.com) summarized each episode and it's on my list, but I haven't gotten there yet.

parang mabuting wrap-up naman yung special sa whole story. BTW, uso ba talaga sa Japanese drama ang mag-special with most of the main actors returning? Hindi nagse-special ang Korean drama, as far as i've seen. Rare nga ang sequels. Pero yung special na I truly wish for is Haru-Aki's "Pride." Kailan kaya yun?

hahaha totoo. I do check SCU thread sa soompi kasi baka lang me mga events na silang dalawa. They can model together since GHJ was a model before she started acting. His thread isnt that active too so okay na rin so the little we know the better hahah

ano role niya sa "Flowers for Life" Baka kontrabida na naman. Kontra siya sa GB, mukhang kontra siya sa "YAMYD".

second female lead siya sa "Flowers" pero she's not hateable. ibang klaseng drama kasi ang "Flowers" di rin ako manonood ng "Destiny" kasi inis ako sa actress na galing ng GirlsGeneration. :P

Oh thats good. Yung character siya sa GB was hated by the fans. Ugh please lang SCU and LYA??

what do you mean ibang klaseng drama?

it tackles the subject of death in a comical but genuine way. at least that's what i got from reading summaries. the lead girl is very quirky. our girl is the former love of the main guy but she does not go after the main guy. i guess this is why i think this drama is different. :D
